To Park or Not to Park
"Only in Taiwan do people choose to park beside a designated parking space and not in it."
A strange phenomenon occurs in Taiwan on a daily basis. Drivers park beside the designated parking spaces in order to save the NT$20-NT$30 parking fee. Hmmm. My car was towed the other week and it ended up costing me NT$900 for towing and NT$900 for the violation itself. If there had been an available parking spot, you could have bet that I would have used it! For people to risk such hefty fines just to save pennies is pure idiocy. Not to mention the problem of double parking...but that's another story.

My friend rode my scooter to his campus and he asked the guard of the University campus if he can park the scooter in a particular place ,the guard agreed but when he pick it the tow truck picked it already. Is this a justifiable situation?I think cases like this should be discuss by the the land scooter transportation offices.1800 is not a joke for just a simple mis understanding between foreigner and the local people.
