Northern Taiwan

Northern Taiwan is home to Taipei, Taiwan's capital city. Although Taipei is certainly worth the visit, Taiwan's northern region has other spectacular sights. The waterfalls at Wulai, just south of Taipei are breathtaking, especially on a rainy day. Fulong's white sand beaches are set at the foot of rocky outcrops creating a very contrasted and picturesque backdrop.
The following areas are part of Northern Taiwan:
| Taipei (台北) | Taoyuan (桃園) |
| Hsinchu (新竹) | Miaoli (苗栗) |
